“Cycle of Life started as an exploration of my childhood. I was enamoured by the memory of my childhood and how free it was being a child. When I was younger, I remember being captivated by a certain family of pigeons who had nested outside of my window. The idea of craftsmanship involved in creating a nest fascinated me. I loved watching the nest evolve, I was drawn to the tones of grey in the nest left by the plucking of feathers, it reminded me of ash. By the time the family of pigeons had left the nest, I loved seeing how lived in and disrupted the once untouched nest was. Ever since, I have always been enamoured by family, birds, moths and butterflies.”
